SOWACO's BACKGROUND

We are a group of fourteen (14) larger and more professional Solid Waste Management Companies based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Our Association was formed in 1996 and provide a complete range of solid waste-related services to the INDUSTRIAL sector. (other sectors being Domestic waste, Clinical waste, Scheduled waste & Nuclear waste)

Our members jointly manage more than 1000 trucks of varying capacities and provide solid waste disposal services to more than 4,000 clients in and around the Klang Valley.
A few of us have related operations in various parts of Malaysia as well.

Our objective is to increase the level of professionalism to industry as well as to provide mutual support among members and to provide solutions to the special needs of waste generators in general.
We have close links to all the legal and goverment approved sanitary landfill sites and also to the relevant Governmental organizations who call on us to provide advisory services from time to time.
